I had the pleasure of visiting Emma and Adam’s gorgeous wedding venue, River Farm, for their engagement session. Despite the particularly warm day, these two were absolute troopers, and you’d never know it from the photos! We started in the main building’s charming garden, moved to the grand facade of the building itself, and finally wandered down toward the water for those beautiful, classic final shots. The love between Emma and Adam was so palpable and real; it was an absolute joy to capture and such a great way to get to know them better before their big day!

The property at River Farm provided such a stunning and diverse backdrop for their session. From the lush, structured garden beds up front to the impressive colonial architecture of the main house, every corner offered a touch of classic elegance. Choosing to hold your engagement session at your wedding venue is a fantastic idea because it allows you to visualize your big day in the spaces you’ll be using, and it gives us time to scout out unique photo spots we might miss on the actual wedding day!

Emma and Adam handled the heat with grace and kept their focus on each other, which is truly what matters most. Witnessing their connection firsthand, the easy way they hold hands, the genuine smiles they share, and their excitement for their future, was inspiring. We talked through their wedding plans and personalities, and I left the session feeling so energized and grateful to be the one capturing their story. I can’t wait for their wedding at this beautiful venue!
