There’s something truly special about photographing a couple in a place that holds so much personal meaning for them. I recently had the absolute pleasure of doing an engagement session on a couple’s private property, and it was nothing short of magical.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the kind of warmth and enthusiasm that makes me love what I do. The bride-to-be Grace greeted me and explained the importance of their property to me. We utilized every place we could, including a magical outdoor fireplace and a gorgeous barn.
Love, Laughter, and Board Games
One of the highlights of the day was discovering the couple’s shared passion for board games. We made sure to incorporate it into the session with a fun Scrabble session. It was easy to see that these games are more than just a pastime for them; they’re a way to connect and create lasting memories together.
The Perfect Ending: Dogs and Sunshine
Just when I thought the session couldn’t get any better, their two adorable dogs made their grand entrance. These fur babies were the epitome of joy and energy, instantly bringing a new level of fun to the shoot. The dogs ran around, chased each other, and occasionally paused to pose with the couple, creating some of the most candid and joyful photos of the day.
Looking Forward to the Big Day
Spending time with this couple was a beautiful reminder of why I love capturing love stories. Their connection is palpable, their joy infectious, and their love story is one for the books (or should I say, one for a Taylor Swift song?). I know their big day is going to be a day filled with love, laughter, and, of course, some amazing tunes.
I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of this special moment in their journey. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two and to capture the magic of their wedding day. Here’s to love, board games, and unforgettable moments!
Stay tuned for more of their beautiful love story. Until then, I’ll be humming some Taylor Swift and smiling at the thought of their perfect day ahead.
