Leesburg Wedding Photographer

I don't just work in Leesburg. I live here.

My husband and I are in Leesburg year-round. I know which streets light up in October. I know what the Blue Ridge looks like from the back fields at Halcyon Watson when the sun drops at 6 PM in November. I know how long it takes to walk from the Something Blue Cottage to the ceremony space if your timeline is tight. That's the kind of knowledge that doesn't come from researching a venue online. It comes from being here.

If you're getting married in Leesburg, or at one of the venues surrounding it, you want someone who knows the ground.

Reach out

Leesburg sits at the center of some of the best wedding venues in Northern Virginia. I'm a preferred vendor at two of them and have shot extensively at several more.

Venues I Know

A Federal-style estate built in 1770, right in the heart of historic downtown Leesburg. The conservatory is new, and the light it lets in is unlike anything else in the area. The gardens, the gazebo, the carriage house. This is one of those venues that gives a photographer options all day. I've shot multiple weddings here and I'm a preferred vendor. It's genuinely one of my favorite places to work in Loudoun County.

Twenty-two acres just outside Leesburg on Watson Road. Restored historic barn, Something Blue Cottage for getting ready, open fields that photograph beautifully in every season. I'm a preferred vendor here too. The golden hour light at Halcyon Watson in September and October is the kind of thing you can't manufacture in post-processing. It just happens, and you have to be positioned for it before it starts.

Off Limestone School Road, still inside Leesburg. A modern farmhouse barn with generous natural light and a countryside feel without the long drive out to the more rural parts of the county. Good option for couples who want the aesthetic without the logistics.

The practical version: I'm not adding travel time or travel fees. I know the light at your venue. I know the coordinators and how they run their days. I've worked alongside the teams at Birkby and Halcyon Watson enough times to know their rhythm, which means less back-and-forth on the day and more time making actual photographs.

The less practical but more honest version: when you hire someone local, they have skin in the game. This is my community. The venues I shoot at are places I drive past on weekends. The couples I photograph sometimes become people I run into at the farmers market. That's a different kind of investment than a photographer who flew in from two states away.

I cap my calendar at 20 weddings a year. That's intentional. Every couple I work with gets my full attention, from the first email to the final gallery. I bring a second shooter to every wedding so nothing gets missed.

What it means to have a local photographer

Are you based in Leesburg?
Yes. I live in Leesburg with my husband Justin and our two dogs. It's home, not just a service area.

Do you photograph weddings outside of Leesburg?
All the time. I shoot weddings across Northern Virginia, into Maryland, DC, and beyond. Travel fees apply for weddings outside my service area, but anything in Loudoun County is fair game.

What's the best time of year to get married in Leesburg?
Honestly, fall. October light in Leesburg and the surrounding county is something photographers talk about for a reason. That said, spring is genuinely underrated. the estates and vineyards around here in May are vivid and green in a way summer never quite matches.

How far in advance should I book?
For fall dates, 12 to 18 months out is realistic. I cap at 20 weddings per year, so popular dates fill early. The sooner you reach out, the better.

What's included in your packages?
Every wedding includes a second shooter, online gallery with full print rights, and a complimentary engagement session. Full details are on my Experience page.
