I met Andrea and Ovi at Manassas Battlefield Park for a stunning sunset engagement session. Their deep love was undeniable and truly shone through every moment of the session! They looked absolutely incredible after an outfit change, and I kept shooting right up until blue hour. What is blue hour? It’s the period of twilight when the sun is far below the horizon and the indirect sunlight takes on a beautiful, cool, deep blue tone; perfect for romantic, dramatic photos! I even managed to capture a few lovely images with the moon in the background. What a memorable session to capture their journey to the altar!

Manassas Battlefield is an ideal spot for those wanting a vast, open landscape with incredible sunset views. The wide-open fields and rolling hills give me an unobstructed view of the sky, allowing me to perfectly time my shoot to capture the golden light and the deep blue tones that follow. Starting with a brighter, more casual outfit and transitioning to an elegant, evening look for the sunset and blue hour shots is a perfect way to maximize variety in the final gallery.

Andrea and Ovi were an absolute dream to photograph. Their chemistry is effortless, and their excitement for their wedding was infectious. Shooting during blue hour, that brief, magical window after sunset, requires quick work and good light management, but the payoff is incredible. Capturing them silhouetted against the indigo sky with the moon as a tiny detail was the perfect, dramatic conclusion to a deeply romantic session.
