Kate and Donald’s engagement session in Alexandria, VA was an absolute dream. We started our evening together down by the waterfront, where the light was great and the energy was perfectly relaxed. And the best part? These two brought along their adorable dog, who honestly stole the show more than a few times.
From the waterfront, we wandered through the charming streets of Old Town, exploring cobblestone roads and ducking into the cutest little alleyways that gave us the most gorgeous backdrops. One of my favorite stops of the session was an adorable bookshop that added so much character and warmth to their photos, it was the kind of spot that just felt so perfectly *them*.
What I loved most about this session was how easy and natural everything felt. Kate and Donald are so clearly in love, and their connection made every moment effortless to capture. Add in a sweet pup trotting alongside them through the streets of Alexandria, and it really doesn’t get much better than that.
I had such a great time getting to know these two, and I am SO excited to photograph their wedding. If their engagement session was any indication, it’s going to be an incredibly beautiful celebration.
